Tracey Emin

Tracey Emin is one of the most notorious of a group of artists known as the YBAs (Young British Artists) which includes others such as Damien Hirst, Sarah Lucas and Gary Hume. She works in a variety of media including installation, textiles, photography and drawing. In 1999 her work to date, including infamous installation My Bed, was nominated for the Turner Prize. Emin was made a Royal Academician in 2007, and represented Britain in a large scale solo show at the Venice Biennale in 2007.
