Jane Bristowe

JANE BRISTOWE, exhibitor at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2010 and short-listed for Wildlife Artist of the Year 2008, combines her clear and distinct use of line with a passion for colour.

Her appealing style has established Jane Bristowe as a leading exponent of animal images in the UK. Her innovative linocuts – display her inventive artistic imagination in capturing the simple appearances and character of a stunning array of animals – and have placed Jane Bristowe among the best of this genre currently working today.

Jane Bristowe’s sassy linocut style makes her work immediately recognisable. Her bold single colour work creates an instant rapport with her subject matter and conveys not only the likeness of each character Jane Bristowe has drawn but it’s individual personality as well.

Jane Bristowe’s ‘Meerkats’ linocut was exhibited in the 2010 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and published as a card by Canns Down Press for the Royal Academy.
Jane’s portfolio contains in excess of 300 different lino cut prints in various colours and themes.
